In GODBREAKERS, humanity’s creation—an AI designed to be perfect—went horribly wrong, destroying civilization and now eating planets, with the Sun next in line. Players take on the role of the Coven’s ultimate weapon, godbreakers, who must fight through strange, ever-changing worlds to bring back the spark of life in people. As you play through the game, you learn more about the AI’s tyrannical rise through stolen divine powers. The story mixes sci-fi disasters with mythological god-slaying and is driven by player progression instead of cutscenes.

The story focuses on new stories that come out of co-op chaos, as teams work together to take down multi-phase bosses that represent corrupted divinity.
