Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR

Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR is a fun, cartoon-style VR wave shooter that takes you to the strange and amazing Wild West. MIROWIN made and published this game in 2018. It has fast-paced gunplay, slow-motion action where you have to dodge bullets, and a lot of dark humor. You can play it on a PC VR headset or the native version on Meta Quest. Either way, it’s a lot of fun and has a lot of cowboy chaos in short, satisfying sessions.

Story Told Like a Grandpa’s Tall Tale

The whole game is set up like an old grandfather telling his two young grandsons about his legendary (and very exaggerated) adventures. Each level tells a new “story” from his childhood in a strange Wild West full of strange people, criminals, and funny situations. The main story is about saving a woman who has been kidnapped while fighting off enemies that get weirder and weirder. The story is told with funny narration, cartoonish cutscenes, and a lot of humor that breaks the fourth wall.

It has a lighthearted and self-aware tone, mixing classic Western themes with silly twists that keep things fun and interesting instead of serious.

Dynamic VR Wave Shooter Gameplay

In Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR, you become a gunslinger and use motion controls to dual-wield weapons in a realistic way. The main part of the game is wave-based survival shooting. Enemies shoot volleys of bullets at you, and you can slow down time to dodge them like in the Matrix, catch them in mid-air, and throw them back at them.

As you listen to your grandfather’s stories, you unlock new weapons, gadgets, and abilities that change the way you play. These range from shotguns and dynamite to special pistols and ways to interact with the environment. In VR, combat feels punchy and responsive, and you get good feedback when you blow up barrels, dive for cover, or draw your gun quickly in slow motion.

In VR, the cartoon graphics really stand out, making the Wild West towns, canyons, and saloons feel like they’re alive and full of activity.

Immersive VR Experience Full of Laughs and Action

The VR format makes the silly Western fantasy in Guns’n’Stories stand out. The “just one more wave” feeling comes from reaching out to grab bullets, spinning around to shoot enemies from all sides, and feeling the impact of each shot. The main campaign isn’t very long (2–4 hours), but you can play it again and again on harder levels and learn how to dodge bullets.

It’s a great choice for short VR sessions or when you want something fun instead of something that looks very real.

Final Thoughts on Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR

Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR is a fun and funny VR shooter that perfectly captures the fun side of the Wild West. Its wave-based action, creative bullet-time mechanics, and grandfather-narrated story make it a fun short game that will still be fun in 2026. This cartoon cowboy adventure is a great choice if you have a VR headset and want something light, funny, and action-packed instead of another grim shooter.
